Best Practice Coaching
Legend has it that the shoemaker’s children are barefooted because he is so busy making shoes for others that he does not have time to stop and make shoes for them.
In a similar vein, it is surprising how many accountants are behind in the bookkeeping for their own business, and how many Business Coaches conduct their own enterprise in a less-than-ideal manner – all the while urging their business clients to lift their game.
Best Practice Coaching
At first glance you may think that by Best Practice Coaching we mean coaching skills and client-side functions – but we don’t.
We mean the practice of running a good business, both as an example to our clients and as a piece of necessary mental housekeeping for ourselves.
No Business Coach who has the degree of self-awareness required to excel in their profession can possibly act with congruence, integrity and conviction with their clients unless they are walking their talk.
Best Practice Systems
At ProfiTune we’ve invested significantly in terms of time and resources in developing world’s-best-practice systems for conducting a Business Coaching Practice.
That practice starts with using the same Time Management System that we have developed to structure our client’s during their coaching with us, and beyond. It continues with immaculate record keeping, first-class client relationship development and the profitable conduct of our own business so that we truly do know what we are talking about.
At a deeper, psychological level, if you know that you are not applying the best-practice commercial principles, standards, systems and/or practices that you are coaching your clients to adopt, then you will not have the degree of persuasiveness to consistently effect change within them.
Add to the mix the fact that if you are not superbly organised as a single practitioner coach, you can’t really handle the number of clients you require to enjoy the types of income that our industry leaders enjoy. To do that, you need to be comfortably handling more than 10 contracted clients. Many coaches struggle to manage – and retain – more than 8, and some even less.
Those facts combine to erode your own effectiveness as a Business Coach and are likely to progressively lead to an erosion of your earning power over time, to the point where you may no longer be viable as a business, let alone as a Business Coach.
We Share Our Systems
We have developed world’s best systems for conducting our own coaching practice; we’ve shared and licenced those systems with those we’ve trained and accredited; we’ve embedded them in the intellectual property of our Diploma of Business Coaching; and we share them with other Business Coaches.
If you’d like to learn more about how our systems can assist you to take your own practice to another level, please contact us now.
