The Business Analysis process put into concrete form all the things about the business that I knew I should be doing, but wasn’t. I found the feedback you uncovered from my suppliers and customers to be very worthwhile.

The breakdown of the areas for cost savings in our business was fantastic. You might be interested to know that as a direct result of one of the smaller savings items – bank fees and charges – we have just installed our new St George terminal and will be transferring about $2,000 a year to our Savings & Investment account as a result of that one item alone. I would recommend that anyone in business do a ProfiTune Business Analysis – if I did not feel that way, I would not have gone ahead with the coaching process. The Business Analysis made that an obvious choice.

It started with the questionnaire – it jogs the mind in a lot of areas, in a lot of cases you can see what you should be doing just from the questions. They get you thinking. The Report gave me a number of different angles and procedures by which to improve my business. We increased prices immediately – because it was just so logical they way you presented the results of doing so in the report. So, yeah, a great motivator to do the things I know I have to do!

Another example of the sorts of changes that we made almost immediately after reading our Business Analysis was to run the business bank account a lot leaner – like we used to do in the early days when we had no money and no choice. We got a bit slack there for a while – I suppose because we had more money – but after doing the Analysis I have tightened right up and I now make sure we run the working account at bare minimum.

I am writing this to say thanks for the support and coaching you have given to me using the Profitune System.

Although we have worked together for 3 months only, already I have identified opportunities for us to increase profits by $92,368 per annum. And, your coaching and the Profitune System has made me aware that to have enough money for me to realise my retirement plans it is necessary to transfer these additional profits from our business bank account to a savings and investment account. Otherwise these profits as generated will simply be swallowed up in the day to day running of the business.

Using Profitune’s learnings on goal setting the business has started to achieve these additional profits. Currently we are transferring $250 per month into the savings and investment account from our business account. As we focus on other areas of cost and business growth I know that the business will achieve additional profits that will increase the amount of money we transfer to the savings and investment account each month.

By continuing to work with you and to focus on the Profitune System I know my retirement goals will become more realised as each month passes by.

I have enjoyed the (coaching) sessions which we performed each week and the following summarises the benefits that I believe accrued to myself and to my team.

The first thing that comes to mind is the progress I have made in team building. Without having to fire anyone, you showed me how to create a situation where underperformers left the company of their own accord and you were very helpful in helping us to improve our recruitment and induction methods. The end result is a situation where we now have the best team that we have ever had.

I have certainly upgraded my skills of delegation and I think that have I passed on those skills to some of our key managers. This is actually just one part of the overall skill set I have built up as a coach to my staff.

Your coaching fees have been recouped in a number of ways. Sometimes, the brainstorming of new marketing ideas has started the ball rolling on a new way of promoting some product or service which more than pays for the session. I know that your assistance would be valuable to take that idea on to fruition, but for me, just the brainstorming activity is value in itself.

Another way in which you have generated payback to the investment is in identifying cost savings which were not obvious to us and by encouraging me to negotiate a better business arrangement on the purchase of a product or service.

Just a quick note to thank you for your help and guidance on the timesheets.

I reckon I am using them reasonably effectively now, making a point of planning 15 minutes at the beginning of each day, keeping a record of time estimated and time actually used, and then reflecting on the days work at end of day. I reckon I need to improve on prioritisation, to set the priorities for the day and then follow the plan. I have learnt a lot, to leave 3 hours free in every day, to set out to do what is possible in a day, and then to be happy if I complete what I set out to complete. And the little expressions are great ways to “lift” the spirit. I will take on the task of self-discipline from here. I reckon I have to make these changes work.

I will drop in to pick up a batch of major task sheets when I am next on the Coast, as I seem to have run out. I guess that means I am keeping the list!
