What We Do – For Business Clients

Better Management

The formula we’ve developed for guiding our business owner, manager and executive clients to a better level of management performance is relatively simple, for we:

Clarify Goals: We use language techniques, simplicity and a great deal of focus to discover (and sometimes, lead our clients to discover) their real goals. After all, there’s not much point in beginning any journey – even one of business improvement – unless you are crystal clear on what you’d like to experience along the way, and where you’d like to end up.

Transform Thinking: Our thinking tends to be “different” (some say we’re transformational, others that we are paradigmicalbut, at the end of the day, we’re different) and we guide our clients to new ways of thinking about old challenges and old solutions. Out of that comes new solutions (and, sometimes, new challenges!)

Install New Skills & Knowledge: It is almost certain that we won’t be experts in your business or your industry (though we have accumulated very broad experience across a wide range of industries), but the results experienced by our clients (and our own business) are testimony that we are experts in business improvement. At any point of challenge we are able to share knowledge and provide training in skills required that are relevant to overcoming that challenge. But even with training skills more than 40 years deep, we know that 90% of the training we provide is wasted – unless we . . .

Coach for Performance: Business is about knowing then applying that knowledge in practical real-world situations with a level of skill that will produce a desired result. Basic learning theory dictates that skill builing requires “spaced guided repetition”, and that’s where coaching comes into the picture. Contrary to popular wisdom, practice does not make perfect – it makes permanent. If knowledge is imperfectly applied over and over again, the result is pretty well guaranteed to be less than desirable, probably frustrating, and possibly downright disasterous. Guiding our clients, through coaching, to progressively perfect their application of tried and tested knowledge in the fields of leadership, sales, marketing, systems, finance, negotiation and inventory mangement among others, leads to performance at a high level, and high level performance in business leads to best practice, market leadership and . . . .

Bigger Profits

Strong profits are no more the sole mark of an excellent business than a strong pulse is the sole mark of an excellent life – by try having an excellent life without a strong pulse! Try having an excellent business without the steady flow of cash that comes of a strong profit!

If you wished to draw the best possible performance from your car, you would take it to an expert technician whose process would be to attach it to a dynomometer, measure its efficiency and power output and commence making a series of small, precise adjustments to the various inputs to its motor. The results of each adjustment would register on the dynomometer as increased efficiency or rising power, and your technician would have proof that their strategy was producing the desired end result.

In much the same way, when we begin profit tuning a client’s business, we measure their beginning productivity (result for effort) and profitability and then coach them towards making fine adjustments to the key inputs to their business. Whilever their productivity and/or profitability is rising, we know that we are using an appropriate strategy. If the improvement in either performance indicator slow or stops, we immediately evaluate the circumstances, and change strategy.

To carry the analogy a little further: Your business can be a vehicle capable of delivering you experiences and destinations of your choice. We ensure that you lift your head out of the engine bay, and refocus your attention on the journey and your destination, and that tends to contribute towards our clients becoming . . .

Happy People

When your business is running like a finely-tuned machine, when your people are focused and productive, when profits are flowing strongly from your endeavours, when your stress is all of the positive, performance-enhancing kind, and when your job satisfaction is on the up, we find clients who were previously consumed by their need to “make a living” or “survive in business”, turning their attention to their lifestyle goals – and that makes for happy people!

Within the business itself, team members who are disciplined, focused and achieving goals, likewise, tend to be happy people.

And the clients who come to enjoy the excellent products and first class service of those profit-tuned businesses, tend to be happy people.

Our Logo

When we came to design a logo for our branding, we saw a ripple-like effect in clarifying goals, transforming mindsets and motives, installing knowledge, and skills and coaching for performance. Hence our logo.

I love working with my business clients! I love watching their faces when they finally discover what they really want out of their business, and how to get it. I love training them to work smarter and seeing their stress drop away. I love coaching them each week until their business really starts to pump out the profits. I love seeing them relaxed, happy… and getting richer! What’s our success rate? Around 95%!” – Peter Rowe
